BDFairs Shoe Design Competition 2020

Introduction

The BDFairs Shoe Design Competition is a freestyle design competition open to concept stage and realized footwear products designed by professional and young shoe designers, Students, Professional Shoe Designers, stylists, fashion design companies and other footwear business nationwide.

This Award for Shoes is not just an award, it is the indicator of quality and perfection in design, the award is recognized nationwide and takes the attention of design-oriented companies, professionals and interest groups.

Winning this Award is a certificate of excellence for designers, an important milestone in your career. Having this Award attracts the eyes of design-oriented companies worldwide, winners will be able to find better and higher profile jobs & sales leads, get a step ahead in their life.

The winning designs are also exhibited at our exhibition webpage in Shoe & Leather Goods Fair 2020. The winners appear on magazines, newspapers, webzines and many other publishing mediums. For concept stage projects, this Award is an early indicator of success.

The Jury is composed of both Academic and Professional participants nationwide, such as chief executive officers or head designers of companies and faculty heads or professors.

What to Present?

When submitting to the Shoe Design Competition keep in mind that your submission will be evaluated on multiple dimensions; i.e. your design is considered together with its visual appeal, overall design, realization technics and material of choice. Applicants should send high-resolution images of the design.

Awarding Criteria

The best shoe designs will be ranked according to form, functional and emotional aspects of the footwear designs; the products are considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities, choice of materials, realization techniques and human interaction, in addition to ergonomy and ease of maintenance and cleaning.

No Further Fees

Unlike some other design awards and competitions, you are not obliged to make any further fees for winning the award and everything listed in the winner’s benefits will be provided free of charge.

Aims and Visions

The Aim of this Award is to attract the attention of fashion media, magazines, and industry leads to your business & potential creativity by means of creating publicity and dissemination and also to separate you from the rest of the actors in the public sector by honoring you or your institution with a prestigious award.

1. Hand Sketch Design (Color is Allowed)
2. Computer Aided Design (You Can Use Any Kind Of Software, like Shoemaster, Adobe Illustrator or others)

Types of Product Categories

1. Leather Shoe – Men’s Dress
2. Synthetic Shoe – Sneaker

Types of Participant Categories

1. Amateur (Student, Fresh Graduates or Designer with zero job experiences)
2. Expert (Professional Designer with practical job experiences)

Submission Requirements:

1. Material Specifications should be included along with the design photo in separate page.
2. Construction Method & Process should be mentioned in same page of material specification.

The following conditions of participation apply:

• The designer automatically takes part in the competition through submission of the documents.
• The documents will be uploaded through email(info@keysellerbd.com).
• Each participant may submit multiple designs.
• Submissions must be the designer’s own work.
• Participants who infringe the conditions of the competition will be excluded from the competition. In this case prizes may also be retrospectively disallowed and reclaimed.
• The personal data collated during the competition will be used exclusively for carrying out the competition and will be kept in BDFairs & Sponsors Database.
• If a winner does not respond within seven days despite being contacted twice, a new winner will be identified.
• The prize is non-transferrable.
• All submissions will be judged by an expert jury made up of designers and specialists.

The winner will be chosen by way of a Jury vote.  All winners will be notified by e-mail and the winning design will be published in BDFairs FB Page and BDFairs website.

• We may lunch a prize giving ceremony in upcoming Shoe & Leather Goods Fair in September 2020.
• By submitting the design, the participants declare their agreement that the submitted documents may be published on the website, on Facebook for the purpose of determining the winners. Copyright to the design will remain with the designer. Organizing partners and Judges will not use those designs in any commercial uses.
